Hasini Haputhanthri

Best known as a development professional and arts manager in Sri Lanka, Hasini is a part of a global network of researchers and practitioners on peace-building, arts and heritage management.  Initially trained as a sociologist at Delhi University India and Lund University Sweden, Hasini later specialised in Oral History and Museum Anthropology at Columbia University New York. She has worked with several international and local government and non-government organisations on peacebuilding in Sri Lanka for the past 13 years and now works as a consultant. Her current research and practice is focused on reinventing museums as sites of representation, innovative pedagogy and civic engagement. She speaks regularly on inclusivity, culture and heritage management issues on a variety of international platforms, most notably at Paris Peace Forum 2019. 

Hasini is a part of the Bosch Alumni Group that founded the World Art and Memory Museum and has been the overall curator and project lead since its inception.
